While I realize it wasn't framed as the same question on this year's ballot, in 2000, 61.4% of california voters voted to ban gay marriage. In 2008, 52% currently have done so.

fire at dawn
We had plans to go out to the tidepools at the dawn low tide this morning, and I very nearly bailed on the idea to stay in bed. Convinced myself to get up anyway, got dressed, headed to my car, which didn't start.
