My room is an almost square beige box with mismatched walls. It has ten-foot ceilings that I assume are there to make it look larger, but all they do is make it look tall, and empty

you know, I don't know if this says much, but my school is alot like that. 'cept I don't live there, I might as well because I spend WAY more time there than I do at home. But anyways. There's that one kid who's always making trouble, more loud people than quiet(or even just not-loud people in general), the gamers and the other geeks and such in the same hallway, then the kid who doesn't talk to anyone and no one talks to him. Then there's the Lunch room, that's got only rudementary eating utensils(forks and trays pretty much, if we're lucky they give us metal forks and plastic trays, but normally the forks are flimsy plastic and the trays are easily broken styrofoam).
Not exactly sure why I commented to this, just thought it odd.
heh, what I described was only like 2 hallways and the cafeteria. This is a horridly rural county I live in, so there's an entire hallway completely devoted to the farmers and 'country boys' of the school. Then there's NJROTC(Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps), which takes up about a 10th of the school, I know this because I'm in it. It's crazy.
No, seriously. I described one floor..there's five floors in residence. Residence is, of course, seperate from the rest of the college, so I ahvne't even touched on that.
Bah our resadencs was. "Racially diverse" Meaning you had a few black guys on your hallway. And they were the loudest, most annoying and blackest people out of all the africain americains there. I mean there were some guys up on the 4th floor, which had a lot of af americains up there, and I would have killed to have them as a roomate. I just pittied the good ol boys that they had up there for the white in the wild rice. >.< I heard one of them got his jaw broke after popping off to a few football players.
But yea, I was the guy who'd get hsi door knocked on a lot too. Generally cause I was next to the RA's room and if he went out. I had the spare keys.
I am thinking my visit will be most interesting *hee* Why does it seem like once you're in a small appartment or dorm life becomes that much more compartmentalized? I don't know any of the people in the building. I've met a few very briefly, but I don't know any of them. My roommate and I hate most of the people in our hall simply because they smoke pot and we can smell it, or because they play loud, crappy rap music whenever they like but pound on the wall if our music gets a little loud at 4 in the afternoon.
you need to start pounding on their walls, louder than they do and more frequently. Then sart filing noise complaints, but when you meet them be as polite and civil as possible *evil grin*

What's even better is that's only one floor, and the smallest floor, of the place. You should meet the rest of the school population.

I'm on the quiet floor, and all our spare keys are at the front desk. That way it's easier to charge you for a lockout
