When you post you really post babe. Good to see it. And in your multicolor people up there that's six people. ;)

You should talk with Koi, he was getting into some good online verbal battles with liberals about tyranny of the minority that exists in racial quotas among other things.

Things might be unfair in a democracy but they could be far far worse then unfair in other systems. Like a Facist Dictatorship for example. Too many people have their hands out and wanting their government to buy them everything and every service.

*grins* I felt like I needed to, and really didn't feel like talking about my life all that much. Work, workout, sleep, s'about it lately.
Except now I'm out of town.

And I've talked with Koi..I think we both agreed that democracy isn't working, just for different reasons. He doens't believe in it, I believe not enough people believe in it..me included, when you get right down to it.
It just happen to be the best out of the alternatives until I can name myself All-powerful Empress-for-lif and rule Canada with a velvets-lined fist *grins*

And some poeple need those services. The ones who abuse them should be cut off. The problem is it's hard to tell between those who need and those who abuse to a degree.

I believe Plato said that democracy would eventually fall into a tyranny when the society degraded enough and people would give one person all the power to 'make things better'. I say hurry it along, give me all the power. You can have Canada I'll take the rest of this blue world.

And who knew you wore velvet gloves ;)

It seems most research in the past 20 years has found that a majority of homosexual predisposition is physiological (I can find the relevant links to research if you so wish or you can just research it yourself). Hence, for most people, it is not a lifestyle choice, but something they are born with. Therefore, it is something in the same league as someone born with red hair or black skin - mainly biological and "natural" (nature made them that way) and not of choice. Discrimination on that basis is therefore invalid. (The scientific basis for it being inborn would also help gay and lesbian rights as it is something they can't "change" even if they wanted to try.)

There is of course the tiny percentage that do choose it even though their biological imperatives are mainly heterosexual.

Well untill they crack the human genome and find the gay gene I'm gonna call BS on that one Lok. For it to be genetically based honestly is hard to believe. But then again studys are always completely unbiased. ;)

Even if it is gene based as you said there are straight people that choose to chase members of the same sex. So there is a choice to be made. How many people that are gay based upon their genome have chosen to be straight? None? Well fo course none, they're straight. ;)

Oh btw, have a nice weekend with your Aunt. Take pics! :D

One last thing, I'm not intelligent. I'm just a smartass. But I'm sure you all know that with how I type.
