I don't recall ever being quite as full of rage after a final dress before. Fortunately no one I care about lives here, so I don't have to feel bad for not encouraging people to come to a show with the worst lighting design I've ever seen. And I'm running the light board, so I am the one blamed when things look like ass. Fantastic.

is it your design? or are you just the hand pushing "GO"?

Jesus, not my design. As far as I can tell it's the bastard child of the ME and the LD/TD/Sound Designer/Set Designer/Producer/faculty-member-who's-teaching-four-classes.

The ME keeps changing the cues around to fix what she thought were the problems were, but no matter how early I get into the space, there's always something else that has to get done on set or with props or whatever and I don't get to run through all the cues before the show.

At final dress last night I discovered that the most important cue in the show had the house lights added to it for some reason.

Yeah.

heh remember you can always throw your hands up and say "ARTISTS!" whenever someone asks you what happened ;)

I used to do it all the time :D

All you needed were Trippy and Boomer. :) Sorry you're stuck with some craptasticness.
