The cold had been creeping up on her for a few days now. Close quarters, recycled air, exhaustion... all sorts of factors were just stacked up against her. Jim got to the message pretty quickly, fresh out of the shower as he rubbed a towel over his hair. He blinked at his PADD a few times. Bones didn't cancel unless something was up, and that was a bit worrisome.

Though, it might've just been a ton of work.

Sighing, Jim got dressed, and decided to pay Lena a visit, to see what was keeping her from dinner. It was probably just something silly.

He went to her quarters, not actually bothering with letting her know she was there; he just used the code she'd given him, and waltzed right in.

"Bones?" he called, peering around until he spotted a lump in Lena's bed that was distinctly Bones-shaped. "Hey," he said brightly, going over to the bed and giving her a shoulder a little prod. "You feeling okay?"

The first prod and greeting were met with little grunts of near asleep crankiness. Hadn't she just canceled on him?

"Of course," she said sarcastically. "Feel just peachy. 'S'why I'm all bundled up and miserable in bed when I could be eatin' with you. No, I'm not feeling okay, dumbass."

Jim laughed a bit, crawling into the bed with her and wiggling himself under the blankets. "Poor Bones," he said sympathetically. "Guess we'll just have to spend our evening making you feel better."

"Jim, I'm all sick, you don't wanna be around..." Even as she said it, she was curling up against him, actually more than okay with being held a little while.
