canon powers, skills, pets and equipment:
Canon Powers: Dark Boots - Lenalee's anti-akuma weapon. Her Innocence takes the form of a pair of boots that greatly increase the strength and speed in her legs. With them she's said to be able to flutter like a butterfly and strike like steel. She also uses them to create a destructive tornado with a spin-kick, a technique known as Enbu Kirikaze. Other attacks include Onkyou no Tougi: Otokase, the ability to turn sound waves solid and travel across them and Suijou no Tougi: Mizukase which enables her to walk across water.
Lenalee lost her Dark Boots (and long hair) during a battle with a level 3 akuma by pushing them to their limits. Her legs also seemed weakened during this time. When the Innocence was removed, she regained mobility. But the desire to fight alongside her friends couldn't be extracted so easily. And despite the risks, she actually drank her Innocence in order to help them.
Her new boots are a "crystal type," which is actually made up of the exorcist's own blood. This makes them more powerful than they were before, and are easier to handle due to them reacting to Lenalee's emotions. When not activated, the boots look like a pair of red rings around the cross-shaped scars on her ankles.
Outside of that, she's very intelligent, has first aid skills from working with the Order's science department, and is a good cook and makes a hell of a cup of coffee.
non-canon powers: I think her canon powers will do!
canon history:
Born in China, Lenalee's parents were killed by an akuma when she was just a child. Realizing that she was an accommodator for Innocence, The Black Order took her away from the only family she had left, her big brother Komui. Imprisoned against her will, Lenalee tried to escape and eventually attempted suicide, forcing the Order to tie her down to her bed. Her sanity only returned with her brother, who'd joined The Black Order so that they could be together again. Gradually, the headquarters became home to her, even when she witnessed some of its dark secrets and experiments that involved forcing innocence non-accommodators as a child. But over time the Order's members, including her fellow exorcists, became her new family. One person who is obviously very special to her is Allen Walker and he's the only person that she's shared the secrets of what she saw as a child and of her reoccurring nightmare of the world destroyed, her friends dead, and her alone. She has also known Lavi and Kanda since they were young and worries for their sake, and fights for her older brother.
As an exorcist (one who can accommodate Innocence), Lenalee was one of those chosen by God to fight akuma (weapons created from souls that are called back by mourning loved ones) and the Millennium Earl who uses them to try and bring about the end of the world. Her Innocence originally took the form of the Dark Boots, which helped her leap up and become airborne, but also strike the akuma with a force strong enough to shatter them.
Her first encounter with a Noah (powerful human descendants of Noah who work with the Millennium Earl) occurred when she traveled with Allen to investigate a mysterious town where the next day never came. With Innocence usually at the heart of mysterious events, it was also the Order's job to retrieve it before it could be destroyed. This time the Innocence was embedded in a clock and unknowingly activated by its owner and future accommodator, Miranda Lotto. The three of them were taken hostage by a Noah named Road Kamelot, who was after the Innocence as well. Road, by all appearances a young girl, declared the dazed Lenalee her exorcist doll. She was revived when Miranda learned to control her Innocence a little better, giving her the power to temporarily stop or reverse time, bringing people or items back to their previous state. Revived, she helped Allen fight Road off, but not before teaching him a lesson about self-sacrifice, something that she finds pointless when you have friends to help you.
When generals begin being targeted, Lenalee sets out to find and protect General Cross along with Allen, Lavi, Krory, and Bookman. The search takes them to a brothel of Black Order supporters in China. There they learned that they're still a step behind Cross, who's left for Edo, Japan. As they're boarding their ship, a swarm of akuma race past them, heading towards a monstrous thing in the sky. That monstrous thing turns out to be a fellow exorcist, Suman Dark, who has betrayed his innocence and become a Fallen One. Seeing him triggered flashbacks of witnessing Black Order experimentation as a child. Together she and Allen try to save him, but Allen gets pulled in and they're separated. Allen continues to fight for his sake while Lenalee speaks with her brother back at the Order, who tells her that Suman has betrayed them and that they must retrieve his Innocence. Allen's efforts to save Suman are ultimately semi-successful. He is destroyed by Tyki Mikk's tease. Tyki also destroys Allen's Innocence and punctures his heart, seemingly killing him. Lenalee and Lavi search for him but find nothing. Back at the ship they're informed that Allen's innocence was destroyed and that he is no longer an exorcist. Lenalee is forced to board the ship and head to Edo without a piece of her world.
During a battle with a powerful akuma on the sea. She forced her boots to their maximum invocation in order to defeat it. Lenalee very nearly died, and her long ponytails were disintegrated. She was later found by her fellow exorcist Lavi inside a large crystal, a form that her Innocence took to protect her. For the first time afterwards, Lenalee could only watch as her fellow exorcists fought. Not only would her Innocence no longer activate, she could barely walk. Because of the strange thing that her Innocence did to save her life, it's been suggested that hers is the "Heart." If the Heart Innocence is destroyed, all other Innocence is destroyed with it. This earned the attention of the Earl, who first tried to destroy it head on, only to be repelled by Allen. He then tried to kidnap her and left her to be destroyed along with the old Noah's Ark (a cube shaped vessel that allows travel between dimensions). Again her friends and fellow exorcists saved her, as well as taking control of the Ark.
When her Innocence was removed from her legs, it had taken on a black liquid form. When the Order fell under attack by a Level 4 akuma, she wanted to re-sync with it in order to help the struggling exorcists. Her Innocence actually came to her, as if it had a will and mind of its own. Lenalee drank it, and blood burst from cross-shaped cuts on her ankles. The blood spread over her legs, becoming the new Dark Boots. First thought to now be a parasite type (vs. the equipment type that they were before), they were ultimately decided to be an evolved equipment type called a "crystal type." New boots, new headquarters for the Black Order, but the same old battle continues.
personality:
One part sugar, one part spice. Lenalee is a genuinely kind person, but that doesn't mean she's a pushover. She has no problems standing up to people when necessary with a strength that's all her own. She's also very intelligent (listed as the smartest among the main characters), which may run in the family considering how quickly her brother rose through the ranks of the science department.
Despite her cheerful nature now, she actually comes from a tragic past. But it's because of this past that her friends and family are the most important things to her. Losing them is losing part of her world and to forget that fact or question her bonds is the quickest way to hurt (or anger) her. While far from a drama queen, Lenalee has the normal emotional range of any sixteen year old girl. Lenalee will forgive those who trespass against her if she cares about them, but it may take time for them to actually feel forgiven. She can smile and hold a grudge at the same time.
Lenalee can be a hard girl to say no to, thanks to a combination of kindness and slight intimidation -- a book to the head will generally cure anyone who gets out of line. She's strong in battle and will do whatever she has to to protect her friends. While not macho (and with no desire to ever be macho), she has all the courage she needs to put herself between others and harm. She's observant when it comes to others, and can often pinpoint what's troubling those she's closest to. She's a compassionate and loyal friend. Overall Lenalee is optimistic without being naive, believing that as long as you're alive, any injury can and will heal.
