How to Get Along with Me
• If you want me to do something, how you ask is important. I especially don't like expectations or pressure. (well. it goes without saying. I mean... just don't be rude and don't think that I'm obligated to do anything for you, but other than that I'm not picky O.o)
• I like to listen and to be of service, but don't take advantage of this. (unfortunately, it's the case most of the time. It couldn't be more true)
• Listen until I finish speaking, even though I meander a bit. (not really, I don't have such requirements)
• Give me time to finish things and make decisions. It's OK to nudge me gently and nonjudgmentally. (if you want me to do my best, it means I have to stay motivated and inspired, that means I need time, and I usually need more time for it, sorry for being so slow)
• Ask me questions to help me get clear. (I tend to think real quick, so it might be hard to express myself, so questions to help me get clear are always welcomed)
• Tell me when you like how I look. I'm not averse to flattery. (please DON'T. I don't exactly know why, but compliments make me uncomfortable and I don't really know how to respond to them, well, unless it's internet, I guess)
• Hug me, show physical affection. It opens me up to my feelings. (kind of? don't be clingy though)
• I like a good discussion but not a confrontation. (so true. I dislike when people insist on their opinions and turn it into an "I'm right!" fight).
• Let me know you like what I've done or said. (no. Not unless I needed to know if I've done the right thing)
• Laugh with me and share in my enjoyment of life. (so true!!! don't be a scrooge and just enjoy life!^^)
What I Like About Being a NINE
• being nonjudgmental and accepting
• caring for and being concerned about others
• being able to relax and have a good time
• knowing that most people enjoy my company; I'm easy to be around
• my ability to see many different sides of an issue and to be a good mediator and facilitator
• my heightened awareness of sensations, aesthetics, and the here and now
• being able to go with the flow and feel one with the universe
What's Hard About Being a NINE
• being judged and misunderstood for being placid and/or indecisive
• being critical of myself for lacking initiative and discipline
• being too sensitive to criticism; taking every raised eyebrow and twitch of the mouth personally (I disagree, I'm always totally fine with criticism if it's said in a non-offensive way)
• being confused about what I really want (I guess it's true. I have so many interests, I can't choose the only main one)
• caring too much about what others will think of me (I'm sorry, but I don't care one bit about it. If I did, I wouldn't be where I am now)
• not being listened to or taken seriously (I used to have a really close friend, we used to laugh together and all. But during the serious times she would never turn to me and later on when I confronted her about it, she said that I should realize I'm not smart enough (apparently my intelligence is judged by the number of times I laugh) and I can't be taken seriously. I don't talk to her anymore)
