The one thing I really regret was not taking the time to think, "Gee-I don't need to be on the ball about everything....Why don't I take a semester for myself and just go to Europe?" Well my parents always thought that study abroad is too expensive and I personally could definately NOT afford it (or anything)..But because I was so busy my resume ( Read more... )

Poor Lenny. I know how you feel. I didn't get a senior trip, or to study abroad. We pave the way for the little ones to get their way. We're the guinea pigs. I think that having Mike quit his job to go on a trip is ludacris so don't give that one a second thought. I've been working a 'real job' for 4 months now and I already have six days of vacation time. You CAN take a vacation when you're working, I promise. My job is very demanding, but that's the glory of cell phones. I am in Nebraska visiting Ian and my supervisor called me when we were eating at Panera Bread to ask be about a file and a PDR. I told him where it was and what I knew and then the call was over. Next time he calls I probably won't answer, however, here I am vacationing. It can happen. It might no be a month, but you could probably take a couple of weeks. Don't give up hope. You don't know where your life is going to take you. Maybe one of the firms will send you places and you'll get to explore that way.

aww thanks :-) The ad industry has you working like 60hrs a week.. And they usually don't pay well for the first couple years either.. booo (yet i love the industry sooo much! lol)

As for my man...Mike would have another job lined up because he plans on leaving his job before August anyways... (whether this happens or not) So it is possible.. :-)

It was not so long ago that a little girl, in a fit of protest, displayed a poster board saying, "Please Help, our parent are making us clean our own room and treating us like maids"! This was in the front window to our house so everyone could see.

The medium may be different, but the message is the same. Still, you put a giant smile on my face.

Love Dad
