( After a heated argument with the Detective Inspector, involving much shouting and swearing, Holmes subsided almost sulkily into his armchair, grabbing his laptop and muttering about GPS locations. In John’s opinion Lestrade did not look even amused, just asking Holmes to cooperate. )

what happened here? there's this cut in the middle of the chapter
from john and sherlock
to john watson and holmes,
very weird, like you skipped universes,
i am not sure i want to continue reading,
will you go back to the way it was?

I have to devide text in 2 parts becuase the lj post was too big and I couldn't post it in one go - so we have a cut

that Sherlock and John are the BBC versions
while Holmes and Watson are the movie or book names they use
maybe you have not noticed it, but during the whole first part of the text you use their names and then you suddenly slip completely into calling them by their surname
it's like a break in the flow of the story, seems very strange to readers
even if you are not a big Sherlock Fandom reader, them and you as an author switching to different names is surprising
