I've been reading your journal since long before you and Renee got married. I'm not even sure how long now. But I never wanted to sign up just so I could post comments. It's so nice you have an LJ account now. You don't know me, and I don't really know you... but I sorta feel like I do. Welcome to LJ. It's been great reading you.
And I couldn't agree more. Love is the greatest blessing that any of us can give or experience.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: You and Renee have what every single person on the planet instinctively searches for, pines for, but seldom appreciate the way that they should. It gives me endless pleasure to know that you have it, and that you KNOW you have something more valuable than anything, treasure it, protect it, and revel in it every day.
I really appreciate you saying that, Gypsy. I hope your recovery is progressing better than it was at the time of your last post. I really hope it doesn't cause you to get behind in school. You are doing so well!
I have a confession to make to you, Jeremy. It didn't take a lot of nerve to ask Renee out. She had already made it pretty clear that she was interested me. I waited a while to ask her for several reasons. One, another girl was interested in me at the time, and I had to decide that she wasn't the one. The main reason, however, is that I was afraid I wasn't good enough for Renee. She comes from a wealthy Westchester, NY, family, and she's a very well educated and cultured woman. I am a farmboy from Mississippi with a tendency for depression. I didn't really want to inflict myself on her

Jeremy, I just knew you were going to reply, pretending to be some asshole. Let me tell you a secret. Don't date a southern girl. In fact, don't even develop feelings for a southern girl. They all want a guy who will beat them or give them the thrill of knowing the cops could bust down the door and haul their boyfriend off to jail for a myriad of charges. They want a guy who is the exact opposite of their stable, hard-working, loving fathers. They keep nice guys like you and me as "friends," so we can give them the emotional support and attention that their asshole boyfriends are denying them. The arrangement is good for them... they get the best of both worlds
