Sometimes, when a woman gets overwhelmed, her brain starts being weird. A lot of little things can add up to enough stress on a woman's mind or body to cause a hormonal type funk. Travelling. Money worries. Holidays. Being sick or having a family member sick. Stresses at work. Nothing may be big enough for her to melt down about, but add them all up and it can definitely cause a partial shutdown and irritability.
Plus a woman's body doesn't react to hormone levels the same for every month of her life. And those hormone levels do change, as well. Her body may still be restabilizing from before, and it caused a dump or a lower level, or something.
We are most definitely weird, tricky, mysterious creatures. We sometimes do not understand ourselves, either.
Glad things are better. Even gladder that you two TALKED it out. Keep doing that. Always.
