I am against animal cruelty, but I'm not going to change my icon photo for a month to "raise awareness" - I'll donate my money or time to SPCA or the Disabled Animals Welfare Group (chch) or help spread the word when thinks like Clark Kent from City Kitties Rescue comes up, and give a few $$ to people who do have animals that suddenly become VERY

I seldom get on fb these days. But thanks for letting me know that it has not changed. The whole concept of..if you care, etc etc, has nothing to do in reality with raising awareness. It has to do with assuaging the guilt of people who are not doing anything about things they, in theory, do care about. Of course I care, I told you about the colour of my undies (thus providing proof along with a modicum of titilation, but that is a different story).
