We are very sad to report that Leni Jess passed away suddenly on the afternoon of Thursday 24 May 2012. Leni had a mild heart attack a few days earlier, although she thought it was a different issue. I am so sorry. I did not know her personally, but I've read some of her fics. May she rest in peace. My condolences to her family.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Although I didn't know Leni well, we'd met several times at Harry Potter cons, and it was always a pleasure to catch up with her. To say this is a shock is an understatement -- my deepest condolences to your family. :(

Dear Anne and Russell,
Thank you for taking a moment out to let us know at such a difficult and distressing time. Leni was such a wonderfully encouraging, sharing and jollying-along person, in addition to her many talents. I know it won't surprise you that she will be missed by this part of her peer group, too, but if you could only see how much.
