Just a short reminder that designer and model applications for The Never-Ending Closet Fashion show at the New York Anime Festival/ New York Comic Con ends in less than a week!
What: The Never-Ending Closet: A Fashion Show
When: Sunday, October 10 at the New York Anime Festival
The Never-Ending Closet: A Fashion Show is a showcase of samples from the collections of various independent, alternative, and global designers that add Gothic, Lolita, and Neo-Victoriana aesthetics to modern life. Pieces will range from haute couture to everyday clothes with a Victorian twist and be modeled by passionate fans - the women and men at the center of the movement. he Never-Ending Closet, running an hour in length, will feature the works of six different designers - each presented on-stage in 10 minute acts.
For Designers:
Do you own a brand and wish to have your work on display at the New York Anime Festival and Comic Con? If so, submit your material to us by September 1. Please email the.n3ver3nding.closet@gmail.com with a portfolio of your previous work. This portfolio should contain images of finished pieces - not sketches. For the fashion show, we'll be asking each brand to prepare five individual pieces. It is recommended all pieces have a fall/winter theme. Please also include in the email your name, your brand's name, its website, and any previous fashion shows you've been involved in.
Please note that submitting your material to The Never-Ending Closet does not guarantee its placement within the show. Please note, too, that while NYAF is happy to provide designers with free admission, NYAF cannot provide travel, lodging, and meals to designers. Should designers send their pieces prior to NYAF, designers will be responsible for the initial shipping fees. NYAF will provide return shipping.
