So I've been shooting, trying to squeeze in time for photo shoot into my weekends. I'm loving this new-found passion. There's just so much to learn, like I still don't know how to calculate all the right f-stops/shutter/EV and so on. So mostly I shoot in P mode and A mode. When in M mode I'm pretty much wandering in the dark. Anyway, while I'm away ( Read more... )

I like the cityscapes of Singapore you posted in particular--the experiments with blended and diffuse lights. Very nice! I always like pictures of cities at night. My mother- and father-in-law are traveling to Singapore next year, but alas I cannot go with them. The pictures you posted make me want to visit.

Thanks allogenes,
This shot is the business district of Singapore at night, and as one of tourist attractions, I'm sure your mother- and father-in-law will find there way to this place. Too bad you cannot come as well. :)

Singapore has a lot of international scientific conferences and I am hoping to use one of those to leverage my way over for a future visit! I am not sure how it worked out this way, but I actually know a few people there already and want to visit them. :-)

Dear lenkline,

Thanks very much for your interesting blog. It's always nice to see how people on the other side of the globe live, how they share the same joys and sorrows, what they do in their free time, etc.

I actually have a question about your blog. Would you mind helping us with a linguistic research project? We're compiling data from various Singaporean weblogs. All it requires is checking a few boxes. If you want to take part and/or have more questions, drop me a note ( hack2301@uni-trier.de RE: Question ) so that I can then send you the 'official' project eMail. We'd really appreciate your help.

Thanks very much in advance!
Best regards,
- Fran
