I know as a fact that you could never turn out like her. And you know as a fact that I'd never let you :P
Chickens in the yard? Baby, you ain't seen nothin' yet. I can't believe you haven't seen the rockies... they change you, you know... you'll never have to think about your mother again. Only about two years left 'til you're in my hands for good ;)
awww hun you sound very compassionte and loving towards the one you love. i have the same things go thru my mind when it comes to my family, freinds and whoever will be my love in the future.
It has been said that as much as you try to not be like your parents, you still end up being like them in some ways.
I just read this amazing book - Hey Nostradamus (by Douglas Coupland) - and it's basically a character study of a Columbine-like incident and the butterfly effect it causes. In it, a character called Jason hates his father because he's overly-religious, and so he falls away from religion, but in the end ends up being a lot like his father but in an opposite kind of way. I guess it's hard to explain, but I think no matter what, you'll be like your mom in some regards as much as you try. Anyway, I'm very limited as far as love and relationships go (I got a 2 as far as love goes on this quiz thing, if you don't believe me), but I must say that fighting is a, sadly, necessary part of a relationship and it happens. I wish you and Gabriel well, though, and I'm sure it'll work out somehow. By the way, you should really check that book out if you can, it's excellent
You have no idea who I am, do you? You don't realize what type of person my mother is. My greatest fear is becoming like her. I had little to no confidence before I met Gabriel because of my mother and her little back-handed compliments.
No, of course I have no clue who you are. . .I guess I can relate with the way my father's treated me in the past. However, you just end up becoming a stronger person because of that type of thing and go on.
Bad parents doesn't make you stronger, you fool. Bad parents make you weaker. Don't bother arguing; I've seen it for myself. A family that has bad parents will generally have underconfident, mediocre, weak children. The child that moves past them was strong to begin with, not because of having bad parents.
