Do you mean that he is mentally retarded?
You're not a bad person. You're scared. Do you know why?

Have you told him that you have a boyfriend?
Has he been aggressive to you? Touched you?
Do you have any reason to believe he would lash out at you in any way?

Most people who are mentally retarded go to some sort of work program during the day. They have case managers there. Do you know where he comes from when he gets on the bus? If you do, maybe there's someone you can talk to about him.

Yes, I'm pretty sure he's mentally retarded. I'm not sure why I'm scared. I've never told him I have a boyfriend. He's never been physically aggressive to me, but he's gotten quite frusterated to the point of me having to get off the bus sooner than my stop. He usually keeps his hands to himself. When he gets frusterated he looks like he might lash out, he gets very angry.

If he's showing you anger then I can understand your becoming scared of him. See if you can find out where he goes to program. Or call your local ARC or other agency that serves the mentally retarded for some guidance. Maybe they need to re-evaluate his traveling alone.

I'm just scared I might do something to upset him. It wouldn't be so hard if someone I could talk to was with me.

At first I thought you were talking about the movie... which I know would have upset me :P

No way are you a bad person. It's a biologically natural response; every animal has an aversion to a failure within the same species. Scared? It would make sense. For our own survival we naturally are repelled by things that aren't working out for others. I saw someone with 'water on the brain' (hypochondriac..?) yesterday. It was really disturbing, but why wouldn't it be?

I'm sure the fact that this is a nice guy makes it even worse; it's hard to see unjust suffering in others.

And he's very very wrong: you're not pretty. You're damned beautiful.

lol sweetie, i have advice. if he tries to hurt you or touch you scream your head off and call for the bus driver. thats what they are for, to help you if you have any problems while on the bus ride.....other than being bitchy bastards who sit and drive all day....lol.
but i digress.....and i don't think you need someone to be with you. it's called "kick him in the balls." you have plenty experience in that.

either that or carry a baseball bat around. :D
