Oh that was just perfect. Brendan's so possessive and messed up and it's so true to who he is. And the way he needs Ste to need him is heartbreaking and wonderful all at once. I can't begin to describe how much I adore this story. You've just got it spot on, I wish this was happening in the show so much right now. Amazing.

Thanks Ayla! I don't believe Ste and Brendan could ever be in a perfectly-functioning relationship (and nor would I want them to) without Brendan being psychologically messed up from it. His love is self-destructive and toxic and obsessive. I hope one day they do explore that on the show!! x

Lovely chapter! I love how, unlike a long time ago, it's now Brendan lying about the time! This is what I imagine them to be like as a couple, with Brendan fighting for control of Ste, and Ste trying to remain independent. I love them making up at the end.

Thank you! I would love to see them be a couple on the actual show because I think it would be gripping and fascinating viewing - it's annoying how Hollyoaks just seem to assume they'll fall into the 'boring couple' category once they finally get to that point! Of course they won't!
Anyway, I'm not sure they've MADE UP exactly, but more on that a-coming!

Oh no it's ending! I mean I know it has to but I don't want it to! This is def my favorite fan-fic of all the one's I've read. You're always spot on with the characters and the plots brilliant.

This is so how Brendan would be, because he's still so messed-up himself. I think you really got that controlling part of him down, he thinks he's being 'protective', but really it's all about him and what he wants.

Thank you. Yes, I suppose that will always be the trouble with Brendan; I feel like if he and Ste do get together EVER, Brendan will always be causing problems by his protectiveness, possessiveness and obsessiveness which are so intense that they become selfish and unfair on Ste. More of that to come! x
