Greece it is

Like she'd said, the address Lenore had given Ed was not for her flat. Although, come to think of it she wasn't sure he'd ever been to it anyway so he might not have known the difference. In any event she wasn't staying there now- her flat. She still had it because moving everything seemed like too much work and she was fond of the spot but no, ( Read more... )

There had been a couple of things he needed to attend to before going on this crazy... vacation? with Lenore. The most important being to check in with Dumbledore and convincing him that he was needed in Greece to... persuade... people. Negotiations needed to be done everywhere and Ed was a pretty talented guy; someone else could tail this supposed Death Eater right?

It took a bit of convincing, a bit of loud words, but now Ed stood outside the door and checked the address again. Or so he told himself; but mostly it was to gain in extra second to regain composure. He definitely needed to have his wits about him when Lenore was around.

After another second Ed finally knocked.

Lenore leapt up when she heard the knock, setting her nearly finished pastry and plate on the windowsill but bringing the coffee with her as she answered the door. "Hey." She smiled brightly at the sight of Ed in the doorway. "You made it. Wasn't too hard to find, I hope?" Making room, Lenore backed out of the way and gestured for him to come in.

"I'm finishing up my coffee, I hope you don't mind. Do you want anything? There's...probably something else edible in here." Lenore wasn't much on the cooking but she did keep a lot of pre-made or easily thrown together things in her kitchen. Sometimes it was possible to want to stay in.

"Oh, no problem." He stepped in and casually glanced around while giving her an easy smile; nothing to convey how tense he actually was.

"You're willing to share your coffee with me?" He gave her a quick mischevious glance before moving into the kitchen. "You know, you're one of the few Brits I know that prefers coffee over tea. I mean, it's not uncommon but I think you're definitely the minority.." This would be when he happened to realize he was rambling so he stopped and concentrated on searching the cabinets for a mug.

"Of course," she said easily. It wasn't as though Lenore was ever in danger of running out of coffee. (If that were the case, she probably wouldn't share but such as it was, Ed was safe.) "Scot," Lenore corrected, though she smiled as she settled into a chair to watch Ed search the kitchen. "But I'll let that one go. And you're right. Their loss, obviously. Coffee's a much better drink." Tea indeed. "Third cupboard to the left," she added. As fun as it was to watch someone else struggle through your kitchen, it seemed a bit cruel to do it to Ed now. She didn't want him to giving up on the trip because she chose to be difficult.
