Wedding presents - opinions?

Hi everyone,

Probably a bit late to ask, but if you get invited to the ceremony but not the reception, do you still bring a present?

Thougggghhhtttsss?

EDIT: Well this is bloody moot now, because of my inability to read times I will be working.

Because there's a reception dinner that evening, if you are only attending or only invited to the ceremony beforehand, I would say no. A nice card should be sufficient. But it does depend on the person and how close you are to them as well. If you feel close enough, a small gift would be appropriate.

I'd reply but I did see the edit, however I would like to know what Miss Manners has to say about this. Everyone to the Googletorium!
