I'm totally giving up on this goddamned pedal. I'm going to go on to the next one and never using this (cramped, tightly-packed, not meant to be troubleshooted) style of building pedals again.

I'll look at the pedal once again in 7 days, and if I can't get it to work then, it gets thrown away. There goes a good $100 in parts. Arrr.

Yeah, I think I learned my lesson. Did you see the pics in my last post? Impossible to troubleshoot without breaking something else.

Going to spend more time in the bread- and protoboarding stages for sure now.

YES. Dude that is a great layout. PRO!! Also, XICON RULZ.

Build the board with just what you know is working. Finish the rest on the breadboard. Maybe you will find an error that is correctable without having to make new boards.

i think you should write more, because i think your writing is excellent, and i guess when i read what you write, i hear it like you are actually saying it out loud, and i like that.
