Well I think it was smart to finish it with just the six cause that ending was perfect! (Very cliffhangery!)

I really liked this song, though I haven't watched more than 5 eps of this show, I still think it went really well with the subject matter.

Yeah, it was lucky that the S6 finale worked out pretty well for this.

I'm glad you think the song worked. It was like the VERY first song I listened to and it just so happened to speak to me lol.

Idek how to respond to this! I just OMG!

First of all, I am absolutely thrilled that all the parallels came through so well. I always struggle with myself over whether or not they're obvious enough. Especially the ones with Andy & Esteban. I just really wanted to get across the point that for every horrid thing Esteban does, Andy is there in the background doing something GOOD for her (something simple like putting the baby swing together or just listening to her vent her troubles). Cuz it's like you said, he's always there! So I'm really glad that you got that overall feeling from watching it. Also, unrelated to the vid, I really like that Nancy does acknowledge those things. Like your tags to that one post from the other night, how she remembered him saying "it's a wonderful wonderful". I think a lot of the time people perceive Nancy as being a very selfish person - and in some respects, she is, she's human. But every once in a while she lets Andy (and her family) know that SHE knows everything they ( ... )

I agree with you. She does acknowledge those things she just has such a bad way of showing it. The thing is, here, she loves him but she can't and she cares about him but it would be easier if she didn't, because she is poison. She knows that. She can't not know that because there's nothing in the show to tell me that Nancy is stupid. So I think she sees those things he does for what they are but just A) gets caught up in her own massive fast-paced drama, and B) buries some of her feelings on the things he does and who has been for her and these kids -- and we're talking S4-5 here, mostly, because she's a lot more...open in S6, which is a whole other story -- because she is bad for him to some degree and Nancy has always had this odd way of pushing him away and pulling him closer. And see that's what I love SO MUCH about this show and this character. She is just endlessly fascinating and complicated and contradictory and ugh NANCY & ANDY YOU CRAZY KIDS lol. YES.

Right? That's so wonderful. That's one of the things I love about that vid you posted the other night - the VOs are really nice in that vid. (Going from "I really want you to leave" to "You can come, if you want. I'd like you to come" to "I'm afraid you're gonna leave me.") So beautiful.
