How to Play Quickly

There are lots of people who play SO SLOWLY you don't know what they're thinking about. Ever. Other people think about valid bridge problems. You can take some of that offline, though. Say you know RHO has 5 spades, 3 hearts, and 2 clubs. 13-(5+3+2) = 3, so he has 3 diamonds. Easy, right? Everybody knows that. But not everybody memorizes it. If you ( Read more... )

Hopefully, 13-(5+3+2)=2 is a veiled attempt at humor though it is unclear from the text. But that's not important.

What is really cool is that online bridgebase deal viewer (admittedly their graphics suck unless intended for small children)! I wanted to ask you where I go to make those hands myself? It would be tedious to decipher the format of the url from your example.

Fixed. You're not the first person to ask if that was intentional (it wasn't, but it was a typo, not a math error).

You have to go to bridgebase.com and log into the web client, then pull down some menu (my bbo or something like that) and there's an option for the handviewer/constructor.

I've not used Live Journal, but I believe you can present your Handviewer deal in your piece (versus a link to somewhere else), by using the iframe command and including it in your post. Here's the format:
(iframe src="http://tinyurl.com/cq6zaj" height="360" width="450") (/iframe)

Place the URL of the deal you created between the first two quotation marks that are in italics above. Replace the ( and ) with brackets.

You can see an example on my web site here.
