I found out Wednesday last week that another friend from Faire has passed on, Verlin. And on closing day of Southern (May 18, 2014) one of the founders of the Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire passed as well, Phyllis Patterson

Right?! it's a long convoluted crazy chain of events and circumstances!!?!!?! my mind!!!!!!!

I think it's pretty awesome that you have something you're passionate about and *know* you love, in life. It seems like a lot of people nowadays have lots of things they do, but not a lot they really love. And yeah, whenever someone mentions anything even tangentially related to Ren Faire, I always say "well my friend Erin...." and tell some anecdote.
