Sorry, I haven't been on LJ in a long time so I'm probably very late now in offering my congratulations on the baby! I'm really happy for you. *hugs*
I tried with Underground but I just couldn't get into it. In certain ways it reminded me too much of shows I had already seen like The North and the South in the 90s I think and a season or so ago amazon.com had a pilot called Point of Honor. I expected more from Underground in terms of quality and ingenuity given that it is on the same network that had Manhattan which was so incredibly brilliant and therefore unsurprisingly cancelled.
Thank you! It's going well, really it is, I just enjoy complaining.
I think Underground needs to work some things out in the second season. And I think it could benefit from having a set-up like The Walking Dead (8 episodes, short break, another 8 episodes). There was a LOT crammed into 10 episodes.
Will admit- Outlander is pretty slow for the first few episodes. And other than Jamie (that delicious redhead in the video) and Dougal, who is bald with a scratchy, silvery beard (and still manages to be sexy), all of the Highland men look exactly alike (long dirty brown hair and long dirty brown beard), so that gets confusing. It took me 3 watch-throughs to get their names straight.
But it picks up *tremendously* from episode 6 (and the tag at the end of ep 5), and it never slows down from there. And before that, there is beautiful scenery and costumes and a very intriguing story (even if it is a little slow, but there is a lot to set up).
Pregnancy has always sounded horrible to me and I can only imagine how uncomfortable and painful it must be at times. But it's a part of it and you seem to know that. At least it's good to read that despite it not being easy, that you are excited and I'm so happy about that! So happy for you :D
And ALSO, because she named him 'Gabriel', which is exactly what I named Evie and Sebastian's son. :)
Did you read the other Ravanel book? It was okay, but I'm excited for the second one. And also, are you still into Outlander? (Or were you only into Caitriona and Sam?)
Have you seen yet? The best way to see it would be to check out the video LK posted on her Facebook page if you haven't sort of guessed by the rest of the comment!

I'm seriously considering checking out Outlander because everybody seems to love it, but I'm worried it'll be too slow for me?
