9-13-07: Kings Training Camp & 9-15-07: Kings vs. Ducks Preseason

Oct 01, 2007 08:19

9-13-07: 9 seasons (well 8 since I obviously didn't go in 2004 b/c of the lockout) and counting, the training camp tradition continues. I ended up going on Thursday. Since I got there a bit late, I was only able to catch the 2nd group, which was the game night group. I was kicking myself for missing the 1st group, since Cammy, Kopi, Nagy, et. al ( Read more... )

They keep posting these fabulous pics of Cammy on Yahoo!Sports gallery. It's wonderful. :)

I will forever have love for JMFJ after seeing him in Trojans attire. And I must say, I'm developing a soft spot for JMFB. :P

I just went there, looking for pix to use for a potential Friends Only banner. Although I found one pic I'll use for the banner, I did see some yummy eye candies. ;)

JMFJ has grown into me more and more, but JMFB better stay as long as he kicks ass for the Kings. :P Although another part of me thinks he should test the waters for 10 games then return to Jrs so that his development isn't tampered with... ^0^

I do agree about JMFB. He'll still be good when he comes out of Juniors, and probably even better, if he just takes one more year. It can't hurt him.

Exactly! I know he earned his spot on the big team, but the last thing he needs to do his have a sucky career or be hurt so much that his career prematurely ends. Like you said, taking one more year at Juniors won't hurt him. It'll hopefully give him more time on goal which will further develop his skills on goal.

Attending training camp is a tradition I miss, but I'm happy you were able to make it and get your Cammy shots because that in itself is becoming a tradition!

Who is this Patrick Hersley who is competing with Cammy for your camera lens? Is he on the season roster? I thought I heard an unfamiliar name interspersed through the play-by-play radio broadcast when I was listening to the London games.

I still remember the days when we first met, along w/ Yvette and Cynthia. I know it's pretty much impossible for Yvette to go to camp since she's all the way out in Nebraska, but I always keep her up to date w/ camp.

Back in the days, shots of Joe Rullier were the main camp traditions. Since that one year he snuck out on me and eventually his departure from the Kings, he has been replaced by Cammy. Ironically, since the 1st time I met him at the Rookie game we went to, it took me many years to meet him again.

During camp, Patrick was competing w/ Cammy for the lens, but ever since he got sent down to Manchester, Cammy has won. :P

As always, thanx a lot for the comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the pix. :D

OMG NAGY <333333333

DID YOU TALK TO HIM? OMFG BABE, WHY THE FUCK CAN'T YOU GIVE AN INTERVIEW OR SOMETHING, I WANNA HEAR YOUR VOICE A;GHDALFHGFJLKAHHHHHHHHHHH *sigh*

um...sorry about that; you're awesome at getting like 83574609 pictures every time you go to these things. His hair's kinda sucky though...but it's always sucky and I guess he was just at practice but OMG I wanna attack him with a hairbrush XD

I = dorky fangirl. And Lauri Tukonen looks very Finnish (I suppose it's because he is Finnish XDDD). I'm in a screwy mood tonight ^_^

I did talk to him a little, but not as much as I wanted to, since like every other player, he's usually in a rush and I don't want to hold him up. Therefore I couldn't give him an interview. Sorry ( ... )

LOL, um...that interview comment wasn't directed at you...it was kindasorta directed at Nagy, actually XD (yes, i talk to hockey players even though I know they won't ever hear it ^_^;;;;). You know how some players give interviews to like the team website or during the game intermissions and stuff? Yeah...I was hoping he'd do one at some point here because he's a newbie and the fans want to get to know him and I'd actually settle for a print interview at this point because I love reading what he has to say and I'm kind of obsessed like that XD
Plus I'm pretty sure he has a really hot accent and I'd love to hear it because I haven't actually ever heard him speak...ever and it's kind of one of my goals in life XDD (I'm ever so easy to please, as you can see XD)

It's actually funny because usually I get all upset because it looks like he's used too much gel in his hair and this is like the extreme opposite XD And OMG I would love to see him in a suit.

Finns are awesome :D

Oh okay... I was all... O.o Are you messing w/ me or what? Anyways, thanx a lot for clearing this up.

Yes, I'm surprised that he and some of the newbies haven't been interviewed yet. As the season goes by, he should have more interviews. :)
