What is the difference between arts and crafts?  When shopping for yarn, paint, and other supplies, I often go to Michaels Arts and Crafts.  If a store chooses to delineate between the two, there must be a difference.  And I think there is

I don't know if this counts, but Micah calls the Pieta arts and crafts. We have a difference of opinion there. ;-)

You might appreciate the Organization for Transformative Works- they have some information, legally, on what is valid interpretation-art and also on fair use. You can google them- I don't remember their site offhand.
