Faked geekery

I've been accused recently of not posting to my journal enough. If truth be told, it's largely because I don't think I ever do anything, or have anything to say, that would be of wider interest to many people at once. Likewise I tend not to update often, certainly not as often as I used to, because like you I think of it in terms of what other people find interesting. It intrigues me, because of course usually a journal would be written without expecting others to read it necessarily. Says something about the nature of LiveJournal I suppose.

That's why there's a "post comment" button so easily placed. Traditionally a journal was written in a paper book, perhaps with a lock to prevent others from reading it. Most people treat a LiveJournal quite the opposite - they write things specifically because they want others to read.

I guess everyone's just after their 15 minutes of fame?

Have you had a look at the WMs to see how they handle events? I agree that it is intriguing and would be very beneficial, plus there are some wide reaching applications you might not have thought of - a universal macro recorder for example.

Will you allow keybindings to action key presses to this end? For example Meta+Ctrl+V drops down my console and pastes what has just been copied, which would normally (for me) consist of ~ then Ctrl+V (I know this is a simplistic example, but it is concise).
