I got very frustrated over the last day or so. I posted my demon from before (the yellow/red/purple version) up around a few places, DeviantArt, ConceptArt.org, and showed it in class. Barely got a word out of people

I honestly really like it. My only real issue with it is that with the way the arm holding the dagger is being posed (between being slightly twisted and then the muscles flexing) is looks a little shorter than the other.

One thing I noticed about the red version you posted earlier is that the tail didn't seem to stand out enough from his left leg. I was almost going to comment that the left thigh seemed way too huge compared to his until I noticed that it was actually the tail.

My only real crit of it is that it seems very dark. I can't see the membranes on the wings at all. Maybe it's my computer? I don't know.
I will also say that I think his pose is very static. That's just personel taste, I think, so take it as you will. I like the wings (except for not seeing part of them) but the body itself is very upright...no curves or motion.

I honestly meant to comment - I left it open on my EeePC upstairs - but the EPC's text got all funky and so I didn't, and I forgot when I was downstairs. Things scroll off LJ so quickly.

I loved the first version. My only comment would have been that the shoulder armor lacked texture.

I like this version even better. The level of detail and texture is higher and it's got a darker feel to it.

I can't imagine re-painting the same piece over and over and over again. You've got more patience than I, that's for sure!
