What is it about love?
What is it about being sick to your stomach?
What is it about having your blood pressure drop and having your heart sink into your gut?
Or then having your heart get trapped in your throat?
What is it about love?

Why is love totally illogical?
Why can love be completely wrong?
Why can't love do what I want?
Why can't I control it?

Kay, sounds like paradoxical self-esteem where despite several instances that should lead to positive self-regard, you irrationally have low self-regard (by trying to prove yourself to others). This would is either due to automatic thoughts or maybe a selective memory.

What you could do is have a feel good log, where you record instances of when someone has demonstrated you being likable. What this does is help show you evidence of you being likable that cannot be ignored.
Try for maybe 2 occurences per day. Eventually you will begin to notice these things and remembering them automatically rather then relying on your log.
