This is lovely and melancholy and hopeful in the right way, and I really appreciate you included Gwen the way you did, and Merlin's friendship with her as well as his love for Arthur. I love these three so much.

Gwen gets a bad deal a lot of the time, I wanted to recall the things that M/A shippers can often overlook: that Gwen and Merlin were friends, and that Arthur loved her absolutely.

This is the most perfect 513 tag I've read. It's just heartbreaking and gorgeous and full of unforgettable prose I would parrot back here, if only to gush over your use of language, but I'll refrain since I'd pretty much be quoting back every single line. Suffice it to say, this was so faithful to canon, it hurt.

I really, really hope this doesn't turn out to be your first and only Merlin offering. I'd love to read more from you!

Wow, thank you for all your lovely compliments! Most perfect 513 tag = mindblowing praise, thank you! I'm really glad you liked this and thought it was faithful to canon. I'd like to write more for Merlin, so I just need to make myself do it now!

This is so beautiful and sad. I loved how he helped Gwen but always for Arthur, always. Gorgeous!
