North Korea's standing army is humungus. If Dubya decides to get all military on Kim's ass it will be a total disaster for all concerned, affecting most of all, the South Koreans. This is all presuming North Korea doesn't launch Nukes.

Kim is a nutter. There's nothing quite like an irrational meglo to ruin your day. I would say he's the type to practise a scorched earth policy if push comes to shove.

If the PRK does launch Nukes into foreign soil... I think the international community, led by the USA, will be laying down a whole lot of smack. North Korea as a nation will cease to exist.

Sadly, the whole box and dice rests with Kim and his cronies. If he has the support of his regime then we are all in deep shit. His pride is going to dictate his actions. If he can't find a way to turn his country around without saving face, he'll start a war instead.
