Apparently California has been feeling neglected with the East Coast getting all the attention today, and it gave me a little quake tonight, just to remind me of it. It was pretty small, although really close to where I live. Just a little, hi, I'm here, I'm seismically active, get used to it quake. Maybe it was in tribute to the East Coast? ( Read more... )

California's just saying it doesn't know why the East Coast is all aflutter when CA's been able to do that for years!

*grins* Although my earthquakes (had one that night and then another 3.6 in the morning were both pretty small. 5.8 or 5.9 isn't too serious, but it is a lot larger than a 3.6. However, I prefer my quakes small. I'd be okay with a 5.9, but I do worry about large quakes, especially as the fault I live near is statistically overdue for a serious earthquake, but I don't want that to happen any time soon.
