Orochimaru is the villain (if you will) of the series. He just appeared during the chuunin exams or right before it I believe. Mild spoilers would be that he gave Sasuke the cursed seal. This prevents him from using ninjutsu and genjutsu (I think). Taijutsu is still okay though (which is how Sasuke was able to learn the Chidori)

(Orochimaru is gross looking. He's very snake-like. And basically, his specialty is immortality - in a way. By transferring his soul to a new body every so often, he ensures that he never dies.)

That's the guy with the pale skin, right? I think I saw him in today's episode talking with Kabuto. (Tell me it's Kabuto. Haku would remind of [Sarutobi] Sasuke's dog)

Kabuto IS the one with the tied back silver/white hair and glasses. Haku is so tragic. *sniffles*

Oh my. Kabuto is one of my favorites. He is extremely talented w/ medical nin training as well as years of Orochimaru mentorship (not necessarily a good thing b/c Oro is so evil).

I don't remember him being called Haku though. (not to be mistaken w/ the Haku, the young nin of the Haku and Zabuza episodes). It might just have been a mistranslation.

I believe it is a terrible translation. I remember Haku, the guy with the mask, and Kabuto is definitely not that guy.
