A poem for you

This is not about cigarettes

I’ve never smoked a cigarette

Which isn’t to say I’m not tempted

That’s hardly the case

Seeing those beautiful people

In the ads, the movies, the scenes

With the press of those lips

Even the smoke is enough for me

But I don’t get that either.

Ah smoking.
Fun the first time.
Not so fun the second time...
I'm so glad that I quit moments after I had a few.
The addiction is still there. (surprisingly only after a few)
But I definitely would have been a lot happier if I had maintained my disconnection at all times and never experimented.

This poem isn't about cigarettes or even anything really pertaining to them.

Ah jesus, leave it to me to completely miss the first line and just dive on in. :P
Does this have anything to do with an oral fixation? Or something related to the oral location of the body?
