I'm meeting an online, American acquaintance tomorrow. I'm kind of nervous - not just because I want to make a good impression, but also because it'll be weird to be speaking English instead of writing it. You know? I never do that. (I'm kind of scared I'll say "LOL". Like, the word, instead of laughing out loud. God, that'd be lame ( Read more... )

Good luck with you acquaintance. Don't freak out about speaking English, I'm sure you'll do just fine.

As for SAMANTHA WHO: I am happy that you gave that show a try. I really enjoy the show and the car episode was my favorite. Don't know whether you already watched that episode though.

As for LOST: I didn't really like the last episode either. The whole flashback-thing was too long and I didn't like the ending with Danielle, Alex and Karl. I miss my Danielle already. Hopefully she survived. I already miss Ana-Lucia.

Thanks!! The meet-up went quite well - I had a lot of fun.

I'm happy I gave Samantha Who a try as well. I only have one more episode to see now and I enjoyed them all so far. (How awesome is Jean Smart by the way??) If you want to recommend any other shows, please do!

Yeah, I really hope Danielle will survive. I don't care much about Karl.

Yup, thank God for LJ-cuts, huh? :)

And thanks! I was a bit nervous, but I quickly felt at ease and the conversation went smoothly. :)

Oh, I hope you had fun with the American. I probably would have died of fear and shame, lol. Too bad I don't get the joke. Here I thought that Dutch and German weren't that different. Well ...

Thanks - we did have fun together. We're probably meeting up again soon.

Myeah, the cartoon is hard to explain because it's a play on words. And because it makes fun of the Flemish pronunciation of English words. [The English word 'Master' and the Dutch word 'meester' (teacher) are close in pronunciation, and so are the English word 'paper' and the Dutch word 'peper' (pepper).]

Next time I'll try to post a cartoon in English or German. :))
