Fun with my new camera...

Here are some shots I took the other night...pretty basic but I was having fun...

The pics of the Vendome metro station are particularily funny since I was pretty tipsy and the metro never came (ended up staying at a friend's).

Jew Power is...well...Jew Power...

Hey I really like that second photo. Did you put your camera on the ground with the timer on or did you have a friend take that?

Hehe, nope, endured some strange looks from the other people waiting for the Metro...I just put it on the ground with a timer and casually strolled away :)

Glad you like it! It's nowhere near your stuff but I had a good time with it. Still don't know what most of the setting do but I ended up with a pretty cool effect on that one.

I missed you on MSN today, I wanted to let you know that I probably won't be making it for the wedding afterall (boo). I can't take any time of the new job yet and $450 beans for what would really amount to 2 nights there is just too rough right now. But, on the bright side I do get 3 weeks vacation this year so I'm hoping to take a week in the summer to visit (or maybe 2 weeks for a road trip ;))

Cheers.

aw that's ok, I was talking to Tessa yesterday on the phone (wanted to give her the congrats on being a soon-to-be mom) and she let me know you probably won't be coming. $450 is a lot of money so it would be better just to save that for the summer. We will have to coordinate our holidays this year though, do something really fun and crazy. We are the only two grandchildren without any responsibilities so we might as well go nuts when we still can!

haha, I don't know if I would want to just put my camera down on the ground and walk away if I was at a bus stop with a bunch of other people. I think the cool effect you gave it was it's a little overexposed giving it a "burnt" look. I think it really works in the photo.
