I'm starting to get pressure from several people to run for President of our Union.  I have no desire for the job, and my wife does not want me to accept it.  Anybody who knows me knows I'm not the Presidential type.  I'd rather be 2nd fiddle, like I am now as V-P.  I do support roles much better than I do front man ( Read more... )

Leroy, I can't think of anybody else *currently* in the management of that magical order of antiquity I recently was booted out of that I would say this to, but you are a man of ability, courage and honor, and these are times that unions desperately need folks like you.

There's always the William Tecumseh Sherman approach, "If nominated I will not run, if elected I will not serve." It worked for him.

That's essentially what I'll have to do. I suppose I have no one to blame but myself, seeing as how I went from committee member to Treasurer to VP.
