Sorry to be, once again, completely off topic. But when there are kittens next door, one must take pictures:

That's actually the problem with kittens: they're *so* cute that people often take them in, then decide later that they don't like cats and return them to a shelter. :(

OTOH, kittens rarely stay out in the cold long. They're snapped up when they're made available. :)

I didn't phrase that well. The problem is, of course, that kittens eventually grow up to become adult cats--and the same people who loved the adorable kittens are often fickle about loving the (imho equally adorable) fully grown versions.
