About twice a week I go to the bank for work. This is a nice excuse to get out of the office for an hour or so, drive a company car (WITHOUT my p's!) with the radio at full blast and have a coffee in Leichhardt. I look forward to it

I think it's great that you said something. Sure the person at the bank probably has targets or whatever - but if they don't feel comfortable about it why are they still working there? I know it's not always as simple as packing up and moving on, or trying to move on or whatever - people have children and mortgages and credit card debt and all the rest, but I think if you have the ability to stand up for what you believe in, then you should, and so even the person behind the bar at the CBA is stuck in a job that they hate and even if they have no immediate way of getting out and they hate having to upsell, then I'm sure you just validated every horrible feeling they have about upselling and probably made it that much easier for them to walk away. I'm not going to re-read my comment because it just rolled off my fingertips so some small apologies if its not entirely coherent.
