I remember the Quanne Diec story as well. Although not much, mind you, it was only once you raised her name I recalled it. There's been a lot of focus, I've noticed recently, on particularly gruesome and/or gory deaths in the media at present. That guy in Canada - I was reading the telegraph, and aside from benig paranoid on the bus for the next few days, wondered two things, was it necessary to go into that much detail? And why didn't our commercial stations report it at all? Apparently baby photos are more important. Hmm. I don't know. I try not to dwell on this stuff anymore, cause it gets you depressed. But at least, through that process I know that I care and, surprisingly, still human :)
