Premium Rush, aka the movie with bike messengers doing things on bikes and a corrupt NY cop, is not just dumb, but stupid and not at all entertaining dumb. You may try to make fixed gear bikes seem like the great tool that brought down The Man but you will fail. OMG THE LIBRARY HAS SEVERAL SEASONS OF DYNASTY. I am now on their wait list. IT'S GOING TO BE AWESOME. ALL BAD HAIR AND OUTRAGEOUS CLOTHES AND WILD PLOTS. And Joan Collins dressed as a nun. So, I've been watching much terrible TV. Including Hannibal, NBC's attempt to ensure that someone, anyone watches their network even if they have too kill everyone on the show in some gruesome way. So, I'm watching this, which is sort of like a classy SyFy film - I know it's classy because it has people I know in it and also there are no sharks/mansquisto/dragons/Nazi werewolves in it - and all I can think of is how that Johnny Cash song will not stop running through my head. So in that new Spiderman did Spiderman fight Godzilla? That's what the current ads for it on the telly look like, but I think I'd have remembered that from the reviews/cinema ads. -
Battleship + Vikings
I am saddened that Battleship sunk like a stone so that there won't be Battleship 2: The Aliens realise they've been conned. (Seriously? You can send interstellar ships to earth, but your entire plan of ultimate domination depends on one single satellite relay station? Whatever happened to back up plans? Lines of communication? This is day 9 of being sick.
