Even when you have those good things, it's okay to want more, and to miss the things that have passed. You deserve to have strong friendships in your life, and there's no need to feel guilty for wanting that!

Also, I wrote an entry about some similar feelings I've had lately, for another friend who was going through a tough time drifting apart from friends and experiencing similar family issues to me. It's long and pretty self-indulgent, but it contains any "wisdom" I might have on the similar experiences I've been through lately. I've made it so you can read it now too, if you like. I'ts here. Don't know if it will be helpful at all, but I thought you might like to know that you're not alone in missing the friendships that drift away, and having difficulty finding new close relationships to enjoy.

We have our own history to explain why we didn't keep in contact. And it's not because you're needy, bad or boring. I'm so sorry for what's going on in your pagan group D: That's really terrible.
You do have a lot of nice things that you've been blessed with. But we thrive in relationships. And when there are no relationships, then it's totally right that you'd be sad about that. So please, don't feel guilty for feeling sad about that.
