Wow, you have had a lot of rain and more is coming. Hopefully the lake won't overflow it's banks and enter the neighborhood. Prayers sent.

Yes, we felt lucky to find a house in that area, and there is nothing wrong with the house at all, other than it being 6 feet below sea level.

To the left of that picture is a big, deep water channel called the Delta. It travels from San Francisco to downtown Stockton with many other small bodies of water in between.

The whole thing is a bunch of weirs, dikes, piles of dirt, similar to New Orleans. It's scary to think of the amount of water in this big flat desert if they burst.

I'm hoping you are still dry--I can see that there is a lot of water where you live. I hope it stays put.
