HELLO DARLINGS. It is the first week of school here and my job would be a lot easier if instructors would show up for their classes on time. IT'S THE FIRST WEEK YOU GUYS COME ON.
Hello! I beat you. This is princessgeorge and I am stuck in an airport because: snow (OMG winter in Canada WHO COULD HAVE PREDICTED SNOW YOU HAD ONE JOB) and an increasingly glum about prospects of getting home tonight. Wah.
In other news it seems like another Lil' Parks Con is starting to come together in San Francisco since around here we are too poor from paying California rent to go anywhere. Is it beytral I DON'T KNOW MAYBE.
I don't think it's betrayal...I think it's a sort of symmetrical justice! It calls back to our roots as a community - when we had East Coast and West Coast discussions before merging into this glorious beast today.
I, actually...I don't know.
So sad to be missing this! Maybe I'll Skype in from S. Africa?
In happier news, I took up knitting recently and I fear I'm falling down a rabbit hole. I have a lot of aspirational pinning on Pinterest and favoriting on Ravelry right now, though I haven't gotten beyond hats and scarves, yet. I ordered some circular needles off of Amazon, and once they arrive I can finally take on something larger. I think I'll try a shawl.
Also, is anyone else watching Agent Carter? Because it is awesome but the ratings aren't great so everyone needs to go watch it!
I have been watching Agent Carter and really enjoying it!! I wasn't sure that I would because it's not typically the type of show I gravitate toward, but it's wonderful.
I'm still basking in the glow of finishing several vlogs this week! (And getting the hang of iMovie...) At this rate, I might make it through the 48 more that I need to do to catch up before leaving for South Africa! :)
We finalized our return home and it's almost a month earlier than we predicted, but I'm okay with it. I'll be back in the States on August 2nd!
Parks gave me a lot of feelings this week and I don't want this show to ever end.
I'll be there for a month! Flying into Cape Town, then road tripping along the coast until Port Elizabeth - visiting various parks to see meerkats and ostriches. Also, Addo Elephant Park! Then, I'm flying to Johannesburg and going to Kruger National Park. I'm super pumped!
Have you been? Do you have any recommendations???
PS - airports are the worst! I hope you are able to get home tonight!!!
Yesterday I found a pair of knee-high GREEN Frye boots. On sale. In my size. Unfortunately, the sale price was still $400. So I did not let myself try them on or take a picture of them. I did relay the story to kyrieanne this morning, and we mourned our lack of unlimited shoe budgets.
They were so pretty, those boots.
In other news, since last Thursday, my latest insane-ish fandom craft project arrived safely at Chez stars_inthe_sky, and I suffered a bout of PMS that I feel was unreasonably bad, considering that I'm on hormonal birth control and therefore technically not even ovulating. Stupid ladyparts. Everything hurt and I was dying.
There's a delightful episode of House Hunters on now. The couple want a 200-year-old farmhouse and the words "open concept floor plan" have not been spoken.
