Hi Friends! Happy Galentine's Day!

I am getting together with my BFF tomorrow for dinner and a movie. I bought her a little African Violet plant as a G-Day gift. We are celebrating singlehood together. Then on Saturday I will drink an entire bottle of wine, eat chocolate and cheese, and probably drunk text everyone in my phone while watching chick flicks and/or/also listening to U2.

Speaking of PHONE I got a new one on Monday, and she is a beauty. Since I got my tax return earlier than normal I splurged and got an iPhone 6. I am now hooked on Trivia Crack and the new SNL app. SHINY.

I am contemplating joining a gym next week. Does anyone have any experience with Anytime Fitness?

My bummer of the day/week/month is that I think I'm going to have to start job hunting VERY soon, if I'm reading the writing on the corporate wall correctly. I have not been loving my job lately, but I'd rather not lose it, so it could be an interesting time.

It is FRIGID here. Stop the madness.

IT IS SO COLD. every single person who walked into my office today commented on the cold.

Sorry about your job situation, that's always garbage.

IT'S RIDICULOUS. I feel like we've barely had much of a winter, but now that it's here I'm tired of it.

Garbage indeed (sounds like yours is not much better...sorry you are stressing about the audit!). I'm tempted to hang on to see what happens, but I don't know if it's worth it. Boo.

I downloaded Trivia Crack this week, i'm quickly becoming hooked!

I feel your paid about your job this sounds very much like mine issue at the mo, I've not been happy for a while now and I think that is because of a downturn in the industry. I'm now also worried that because I'm taking about 9wks off for my holiday and most of it will be unpaid. I'll get back and they will realise they can survive this quiet time without me and I won't be needed anymore.

Hello ladies!

This week I did very little. I did discover I might have carpel tunnel, so that's fun! I've wore a brace for four days and will continue to wear it at night for a while just in case. I will cut back on the computer-- just kidding, no I won't.

I went and saw one of my old coworkers over the weekend for dinner, and though we haven't worked together in a year and a half, she brought my favorite dessert of all time, which was really sweet. Also, I'm tragically behind on tv-- haven't even seen Parks yet-- but I did see the first four episodes of Agent Carter, which, yay. It was as amazing as I hoped, and I super love the best friend.

Tomorrow night, I'm kicking off my anti-vday weekend with a singles mingle party. I have a new dress and will know only one other person there. I'm excited.

Boo to carpel tunnel, my BFF had that a few years ago but she changed jobs and it cleared up. My only experience with hand injuries is that I fractured a bone in my hand last year (playing sport), I couldn't type for about 8wks and I became very adept at a few things with my left hand.

I love the sound of a single mingle party :) one of my friends has his birthday on vday so he tends to always have a party or something which is always fun.

I hope the singles party is good! Because I'm paying money to go, although per throwingpens I cannot fall in love until after Parkscon.

Many years ago they used to hold a D & D ball (desperate & dateless) here and I went a couple of times, it was good fun, you had to buy a ticket but it was always worth it because of the live band etc. Have fun :)

Surely you can't help it if it's love at first sight though ;)

I didn't think I would love an episode this season more than Donna and Joe, but Pie-Mary may be right up there. Both eps this week knocked it out of the park (again).

Basically I'm conserving my energy for ParksCon. Also, in the last week I've had a serious headache every day. Friday/Saturday when I went to bed, I made peace with myself and prepared for death as I thought I was going to have an aneurysm while I slept. The most serious of headaches have occurred when I've been to the gym that day, so let's blame that, or the cold weather. My mom says I need more caffeine in my diet - I tend to stay away from it because even if I have caffeine at 2 p.m. it prevents me from falling asleep 12 hours later (I have a night owl schedule) - and damn it, if she wasn't right. I was getting one last night at work, and snuck out with a co-worker to get a Starbucks and I felt 100% better ( ... )

I just saw a commercial for cashew milk the other day. That's the first I had ever heard of it.

I am packing boots for Con. They are comfy and will keep my legs relatively warm.

That sucks about your headaches. Hopefully the caffeine will help a little and you won't have to worry about accepting death before sleep again.

I think I only know about cashew milk because of Portlandia. I wonder why that lady needed so many varieties of milk?

We had a nice rapport going on, I should have asked her! I was buying almond milk and broccoli florets for the record.

EMILY IS SPENDING HER VALENTINE'S DAY WITH ME, BUYING A MINIFRIDGE AND TAKING IT TO MY OFFICE. IF THAT'S NOT LOVE, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS.
