I suck at being lazy. I did fall back asleep this morning and woke up right before my mom called around noon. I did dishes, I organized all my clean laundry, I made brownies, I made a nutritious dinner and I haven't even watched TV. I planned to watch a bunch of House of Cards (I'm still in S2), but that hasn't happened yet. Maybe I'll save all my Netflix energy for Kimmy Schmidt tomorrow. Also, craving fruit, and I think I'm just going to go grocery shopping tomorrow and go crazy in the produce section - grapes, raspberries, blackberries! I have worn my glasses all day long. Do I get lazy points for that?
Speaking of glasses, here's a pair I want to get when I get new ones next month:
I am 100% ready for this week to be over. Some crazy shit went on at work yesterday, which did not please me, as it involves A LOT more work for me. But work means I have a job, which means I can plan trips and hope that job is going to last me through the year/next several years.
I joined Tinder yesterday, which has already been super entertaining. throwingpens and I have been trading funny/creepy profiles. I've had two matches thus far, but I haven't messaged them yet. I hope I get to go on some awkward first dates before resigning myself to spinsterhood!
Funda, I love that you and I got ink within three days of each other. We are badasses.
SOOOOO happy tomorrow is Friday. Going to a dinner party and then spending the rest of the weekend sleeping, crafting, watching House of Cards, and probably drinking wine straight from the bottle. Can't wait!
Yessss, I will. We have several shows to chat about, since I still need to finish Miss Fisher! I have been saving HoC for this weekend for binge purposes.
If you have a valid driver's license, you can easily rent a car at the airport. They are way cheaper if you return the car back to where you picked them.
My friend has her heart set on driving a Mustang, I've told her as long as she takes me to Pasadena city hall she can drive what she wants. I'm not sure I would like to drive I'd be scared to be on the other side of the road.
Well, effective immediately, I have taken over billing and claims for my office. I was shaking when I told my boss that I'd made that decision...so now I'm also like Leslie Knope in that I'm doing the work of four people

I'M SO EXCITED FOR IT TO BE WARM. WELL. FOR ME TO BE WARM. Today, I was like, "yep, it's fine, it's not that cold. and then the wind was blowing and i was like NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE but i'm close enough i don't have to reach out into the cold to get my hat, it's going to be okay." and then when i got to the building and i reached for my purse and the fabric had like, frozen? you know how it gets when it's out in the cold for too long?
and i really wasn't cold except for my face and ears, and then only when the wind blew. I literally don't know what i'm going to do in ACTUAL warm.
That still sounds AWFUL and is magnified even more when you're sick/recovering from sickness.
I also don't know what I will do when I am in actual warmth, but luckily I won't have to figure that out until like, MAY, when it finally warms up here.
Hello! I have no real opinion on Thursday night chats. If they continue, I will be here when I am here. If they do not continue, I will harass you all on tumblr, or via text/email, or possibly all three. Also I will mail owls to your house without telling you first I will not mail owls to your house; I am out of owl fabric.
Weekly update: I'm trying to decide if I should do something moderately drastic with my hair. I say moderately because I can't do anything super drastic for professional reasons. Thoughts? I've kind of always wanted to be a redhead, but red hair would look terrible with my skin tone. I'm still playing a weird game of chicken with myself in which the goal is to never, ever go to the grocery store. I'm going to have to give in soon. I'm out of milk, bread, eggs, and all other things one is meant to have in one's kitchen at all times.
I also counted the unread books on my Kindle and I'm up to 63. Someone convince me that finishing one book is not an excuse to buy six more.
if someone does help you with not buying more books, can they help me out, too? i have like 20 unread books at home but i have to study and instead i borrowed 'the goldfinch' from the library.

Hopefully the trip to PHX will make you feel 100% again! WARM SUNSHINE sounds really nice at the moment, as does your trip in general.
