Hello darlings! How is everyone? Anyone got thrilling Easter weekend plans? My folks are going to be visiting, we didn't notice it would be Easter when they booked the tickets. So I am frantically trying to change everything about my apartment so it looks like I live a well-organized life and making them cute little Easter baskets.
THE BING STREETSIDE CAR DROVE PASSED ME WHILE I WAS RUNNING. I didn't know if I should fling my body to the ground to give them the ol' dead person on the sidewalk view or just act normal. I just kept running. Anyway, that's the only exciting thing that happened to yours truly today.
My Easter plans are to visit my nephews and then come back home to watch the final 2 episodes of Dexter. I have been taking this final season very slowly, trying to savior it.
No interesting Easter plans! Just shopping with my mom and then having a feast (with cheesy potatoes) at my parents'.
I am trying to decide what my next binge watch shows will be. With Mad Men starting (and ending!) soon and then Thrones and Veep being short seasons, I need some new shows in my life. I also want to watch Parks all the way through (again...and again). Suggestions are welcome.
It has finally warmed up here, but rained all day today. :( Boo.
Ugh, if I hadn't agreed to go see my aunt, i totally would. Last year I got out of it because baseball had started and everyone with family requested off so I picked up for someone.
I'm going to some sort of church catholic party with the athiest saucydiva on saturday, so that'll be a thing? I'm also seeing my aunt and uncle and cousin on easter sunday and I'M GETTING MY GS COOKIES then
( ... )
My Dad wears his college ring! But he's one of the only people I know who does (and he graduated from a Michigan school). Good for you for getting one, that's rad.
I CANNOT WAIT TO HEAR ABOUT THIS CHURCH PARTY.
You need a normal work week FOR ONCE. At least tomorrow is Friday?
We're going to have to leave early, because I have to be out to my aunt's early. So it could be worse, possibly? I don't know. My guess is it's going to be awful.
My normal week will never happen. I will always have an abnormal week.
I have decided that I would make a kick-ass first lady (of anything): compassionate, knows how to talk to people, engaging, have my own interests.
So. Looking to be the first lady of a university (or a football program, Kip, hit me up).
I would also guess it's going to be awful. But at least potentially hilarious?
I know...but a normal work week is a nice pipe dream to have. I'm about to be knee deep in insanity, probably for at least a few months, so I'm not looking forward to that work-wise.
YOU WOULD. KIP OR SID GET ON THE HORN (First Lady of Penguins Hockey? Could be worse, I guess).
I am still digging my Elizabeth I potential fate. So thanks for that.
Had a productive day where I went to the dentist, the library, maintenance guy came soon after my return to fix my slow-moving drain, and then I cleaned. Like really cleaned. I cleaned the bathroom, every bit of it, down to organizing my current makeup rotation. Then the kitchen, then the living room and it was such a nice day that I opened up my doors to the courtyard and still have them open. I even washed them. Tomorrow, I might tackle the bedroom.
I also finally saw Boyhood.
And I have been in possession of Johanna Basford's Enchanted Forest coloring book. I should have bought Secret Garden when I had the chance, but I did not.

My friends and I did some adult coloring a few weekends ago! It was fun and surprisingly relaxing.
