HI EVERYONE!!!! I am here for a little while until I go back to studying because my life is garbage.

As some of you might know, my left eye has been twittching for some 3 months now and I finally went to the eye doctor and she said I tired my eyes and gave me glasses to wear while I study and I got them today... AND I CAN'T SEE SHIT! I've never worn any glasses in my entire life so I've been told it takes a while to get used to. I'm hoping it'll subside the twitching because it's been hell.

This week I hang out the entire weekend with my friend/colleague from back in Ankara and it was awesome. I also met with my concert buddy whom I haven't seen almost a year. My boss has been away this week and I took the opportunity to study while at work but that didn't stop him from making me almost cry by being a total dick for some unknown reason.

I got a upgrade on my phone and carrier and I'm getting used to the new phone. I also treated myself today to some panties from VS and also the world's most comfortable pair of pants from H&M.

It does take some getting used to, for what it's worth! And your eye is probably so used to having to compensate for whatever's going on that it'll have to sort of learn to relax and let the glasses do some of the work.

The anti-glare thing is being fantastic right now being at home with my laptop but like I get dizzy the second I look away to look something in the distance.

Oh why didn't I think about siccing FUCC on people before?!?!?!? Jesus 2 should definitely scare people off!

I have a bunch of work to do this evening (long story), but it's just as well because Boyfriend does, too, and we're mutually relieved that his friend who was trying to get us to go see Mad Max tonight had to cancel

Not a ton, actually, which is nice! Hopefully some fanfic writing and editing, some time outdoors, lots of sleep, etc.

I HAVE 36 HOURS BEFORE I'M ON A PLANE ON MY WAY HOME UGH I'M SO EXCITED.

-MARKET/JOSIE'S BREAKFAST BURRITOS (because i'm venturing to lubbock at some point so i'm getting a damn BB.)

i'm going to the dentist on tuesday, because i know i have some cavities. my mom was very proud of me when i told her i was going to go to the dentist. because i can be an adult. (and mostly i just want someone to drive me home from the dentist.)

pretty low key at work right now; my boss is out of town. except everyone is dumb and i hate them and WHYD OES THE PHONE RING OFF THE HOOK THE LAST HALF HOUR I'M THERE, BUT ONLY FOUR TIMES ALL MORNING?!!!?!!??!?!?!

Ooooh. I wasn't raised with sweet tea (Yankee parents and all), but I definitely appreciate it, if on a different level than the hot Eurasian-style tea that is my usual.

I just got back from a 'celebration of learning' at my school where there was a spaghetti dinner and recorder demonstration (my kids rocked the heck out of 'hot cross buns') and scholastic book fair. I also just got word that I won two gift baskets in the PTO's silent auction - sweet! (One of the gift baskets was beach themed and it had a little kiddie pool and some sand toys and the other one was 'game night' and it had a lot of candy and board games.)

We got our first ice cream of the summer season on our way home and it was so good but now I want more.

My in-laws are arriving in a week and a half! There is a lot to clean before they come and I will probably get around to none of it.

Currently trying to hypnotize maple baby into going to sleep and it is not working.

The in-laws are staying a little over a week. And this is their first grandchild, so there will be lots of baby hanging-out time, and my father-in-law is planning on building an adirondack style rocking chair for the porch while he is here. I'm a little worried about breastfeeding though, because that is a long time to be feeding under a cover and I am definitely not at a comfort level of flashing my boobs to the in-laws yet. but I suppose I should get there soon.
