Im having a bit of a crap time at the moment. My body has given up the idea of my doing any physical activity, in the last two weeks I have sprained my ankle my tendinitis in my Achilles is acting up again and last night I hurt my hamstring. Its not great because I like netball umpiring and its a good source of an extra bit of cash in the pocket ( ... )

Feel better! I don't suppose you can netball umpire while seated?

Go to dinner and use it as an opportunity to enjoy some wine. Also, be friends with who you want to be friends with. Your friends should be able to deal with it.

THANK YOU!
OMG yes, we should have giant chairs like tennis umpires, we could see so much more that way.

I will have some wine and enjoy myself its just hard because I've known her for longer but I'm best friends/housemates with his brother so i'm going to end up seeing him more often. I feel very in the middle and they've both said they don't want to people to choose sides but its hard because I'm one of the only people in our group who has talked to both of them and people keep asking me how the other is. Grrrr so much for not being in the middle.

Went home last weekend to go to my favorite cousin's wedding. I knew my grandma wasn't going because it was an outdoor wedding in 90+ weather, but I didn't learn until the day before when I got home that my mom wasn't going. So it was just dad and me. We had a good time, but on the drive home he was definitely worn out and really freaked me out. I kept asking if I should take over the driving, but he refused.
Cousin's wedding was super religious (Lutheran) and lovely.

Ready for a chill weekend with weird pasta, Black Mass book and cleaning.

Also, watching Beyond the Lights, and it's pretty cool.

How does one define weird pasta? Flavor? Shape? Ingredients?

I kind of want to see the Black Mass movie for Adam Scott but I get the feeling it will be way, way too violent for me.

So happy to see this!

I am a little bit stressed workwise. I've been feeling a little out of the loop at work lately, and the paranoid side of me worries that I'm becoming expendable. I hope I'm wrong.

Saw Straight Outta Compton last weekend, which was very good, though the guy cameoing as Snoop Dogg was a) too short and b) sounded nothing like him when rapping.

Been reading Aziz's new book. I'm really impressed by all the research he did. And it lets me live vicariously through the experiences he describes, as a lazy. uninterested single person.

I'M SO GLAD WE ARE STILL DOING THESE - I WAS AFRAID IT STOPPED FOREVER!

Today my new niece was born!!! She's adorable and has A TON OF HAIR and dimples and my 8 year old nephew not only watched the whole thing, but he coached my sister and even cut the cord; it was amazing!

After a year of traveling, I am back home and it took about 2 weeks, but I'm finally settling back into things. I'm not in a huge hurry to find a full-time job yet, but I started tutoring and I'm looking at a car to buy on Saturday, so I feel like I'm slowly integrating back into society. (And I got a phone...with a number, so now people can call me whenever they want to and it's strange, to be so available to everyone all the time!)

But, yeah, it's weird being back. I was a little shell-shocked the first week and just wanted to GO SOMEWHERE! Also, American culture (re: the news & reality TV) is horrifying when you've been living in somewhat of a bubble for a year, LOL.
